On October 27th, 1845, Our Lord spoke to Sr. Marie Pierre, a Carmelite in Tours France who had been chosen by Our Lord to establish a reparatory association against the sins of blasphemy and profanation of Sunday. He said,
"I seek Veronica's to wipe and venerate My Divine Face which has but few adorers…To You I give My Holy Face as a recompense for the services you have performed for Me… It is true you have actually achieved only little but your heart is filled with ardent desires. To you, therefore, I now give this Holy Face in the presence of My Eternal Father and in virtue of the Holy Ghost. Before all the angels and saints, I offer you this gift of My Holy countenance through the hands of my Mother and those of St. Veronica who will teach you how it must be venerated. By My Holy Face you will work wonders!"

An Exorcist Tells His Story
Christ counseled his apostles in the Gospel of Matthew 10:
"And having called his twelve disciples together, he gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of diseases, and all manner of infirmities...."
In this same sermon, He instructed:
"....And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell."
One of the leading exorcists of his time, the late Father Gabriele Amorth gave many instructions about the devil. If you would like to read how to help yourself in these times...

Prayer in times of pestilence (Coronavirus!) - The Stella Coeli
The town of Coimbra (Portugal) having been visited by a violent pestilence, the nuns of St Clare offered their prayers in the following form, whereupon the contagion instantly ceased. This holy prayer, left to the above-named monastery, has preserved many places from contagion where it is recited daily with confidence in God and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It has arrested this scourge in many places.

""Moreover, in these unhappy times, there will be unbridled luxury which, acting thus to snare the rest into sin, will conquer innumerable frivolous souls who will be lost. Innocence will almost no longer be found in children, nor modesty in women, and IN THIS SUPREME MOMENT OF NEED OF THE CHURCH, THOSE WHO SHOULD SPEAK WILL FALL SILENT…"

It was February 2, 1594, when the Blessed Virgin greeted her in this way,
“I am Mary of Good Success, the Queen of Heaven and Earth….I have come from Heaven to console your afflicted heart….it is under this invocation that I desire to be known throughout time for the preservation of my convent….”

In Catholic literature and art, flowers have always symbolized a variety of virtues. In this realm, violets are first known as a symbol of humility and then to a lesser degree modesty, simplicity and constancy.
Violets which grow low to the ground have been known to symbolize the Blessed Virgin Mary’s humility. St Bernard called Our Lady “the violet of humility.” Since all of these wonderful virtues attributed to Our Lady can also be ascribed to our dear sainted Mother Mariana, the Postulator for the Cause of Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, Monsignor Dr. Luis Cadena y Almeida, has titled her “The Violet of the Andes.”
Thus, Mariana was one of the first Spring “violets” of this convent in Quito. Entering the religious life at thirteen, her virtuous soul, so little and delicate, gave a delightfully refreshing and joyful appearance to the yet barren garden of this savagely pagan country of South America.
Just as the violet spreads its seeds prolifically throughout the rest of the garden, so too, this humble soul would contagiously cause humility and other virtues to grow in other souls by her heroically meritorious example. So, as a sweet violet thinking itself the most lowly of flowers in its master’s garden, is often found hiding bashfully under its heart shaped leaves, not daring to show its face amongst the other garden beauties and never realizing that it could be possible that it was considered to be one of the most treasured of flowers in its Master’s garden, so too was this the case with “The Violet of the Andes.” Yes, just as the humble, unknown virgin at Nazareth was chosen to be the Mother of God so too was this modest soul of Mariana called for great things within the confines of her convent walls hidden from the eyes of men.
For two years, Mariana worked beside her aunt accepting the menial chores of convent life separated from the other sisters and novices until it was time to begin her religious life, officially.
During the course of her novitiate, from the age of 15 throughout her entire religious life until her death, Mariana was given numerous trials in both the spiritual and physical levels. Heaven permitted these trials as a means of perfecting and strengthening her soul for the future. Every trial was seemingly dependent on the past trials for support as if she were climbing a ladder of ascending mortifications, increasing in intensity on each rung.
Our Lord and Our Lady called on her to act as a victim soul first for the souls of the convent, for priests and religious orders, for the city and the country, finally for the Church and the whole world The Mother Abbess admitted to inflicting trials upon Mariana during this time in order to test her virtue, the results being that she acted as “an angel nourished solely by Divine Love.” Besides all of this, Mariana would inflict upon herself the most austere penances such as hair-shirts, flagellation, bitter herbs, and even iron tacks placed on her body.

“A simple, humble faith in the truth of My apparitions to you, my predilect child, will be reserved for humble and fervent souls docile to the inspirations of grace, for Our Heavenly Father communicates His secrets to the simple of heart, and not to those whose hearts are inflated with pride, pretending to know what they do not or infatuated with empty science.”

“They will have recourse to Me under the invocation of Our Lady of Good Success and this statue I now ask and command that you have made for the consolation and preservation of My Convent and for those faithful souls of that epoch during which there will be a great devotion to Me, for I am Queen of Heaven under many invocations."
